Origin And History Of Library In Ancient Time
Origin Of Library
Those who introduced the concept of library to the world first were Mesopotamia civilians.
Despite the fact that Mesopotamia was a civilization, the library was the case in 2600 BC.
The main reason is the king of that country. Mesopotamia ruled by the Assyrian king Cena Charik who circulated his government notes on clay plates and then dumped the clay pots to the temple and the state treasury in some more important places.
Over time, as the number of clay plates has increased, he intended to collect all the information in one place.
The reason is that over time the science, education, literature and some government-related contracts are so high that the Library is the library that he built to place those notes in one place.
This library was discovered in 1849 by archaeologist sir Hustein henry layord.
In addition, Alexandander the great visited that library and heard about this library in 356 BC. This surprised Alexander as well as the library in his country.
In addition, he selected the best books from the country around the country and translated it into Greek and put it in his library.
This library is the world's first public library.
This library's name is Royal Library of Alexandria. The library comprised more than 7 million notes and books, but in 642 CE, the library was thoroughly burned.
Then, in 1400 AD, the famous University Oxford University began to begin.
The University of Oxford, knowing the value of the library, did not have its own university, started owning a library. People and others started to use the library with great interest.
This is the history of the library that all subsequent universities began to hold their own library in their colleges.
